So I promised you some truths about charity shops. Now before I begin I am in no way slating, I love charity shops, they provide a fabulous service, but there are some things you need to know before you donate.
Some shops don't take children's clothes at all.
Some take up to a certain age, usually 5 years and only certain items due to space restrictions or just company rules.
Which is all understandable however....
What they can't take goes to the rag man who pays 20-30p p/kg!!! Even if it's Brand New With Tags!!! It gets shredded and ends up as industrial rags!
This breaks my heart and I am sure yours too. So please if you are wanting to support your charity make sure you know they take what you are offering.
Or you can always donate what you weigh in with me & give it to your chosen charity, giving them up to £4.80 per kilo more which is a huge amount! Or my charity of choice is CLIC Sergeant & the same time you are supporting a small business & making me eternally grateful. Everyone's a winner ??
